Hello Nova
Last Sunday was the final Supernova Sunday of the season, with all 4 teams in action, 3 of them against Croydon. This was then followed by a really rather excellent social featuring an impromptu charity mullet and some really rather strong beer, if you missed it then shame on you.
Mitcham (12) - (22) Supernova 1 (Report by Martin)
First game of the day saw Nova 1 make their way to Croydon to take on the LRLs basement dwellers having been cruelly robbed of first team regular...

Match Report: Supernova 3 (10) - Nomads 4 (16), 13/01/2013
Overall, Nomads 4 had a team of very mixed ability, with some very strong boys. Especially Chris's opponent was very strong. Overall, SN3 played really well and were never far off the score of Nomads, until 10 minutes before the end.
Division: Chris, Steve G, Toni, JoannaThis division put up an impressive fight, especially, as said before, because Chris' opponent was very strong. Chris still managed to score a few on him. After a couple of goals from that opponent, Steve started showing...

Match Report: Supernova 5 (9) - Highbury 3 (8), 27/01/2013
Supernova 5 (9) - Highbury 3 (8)
Boys:- Joe Carroll, Elliot Barrass, Ian Riddell, Stuart LorneGirls:- Cat Evans, Lucy Johnson, Abby Wei, Natalie Welsh
So Chairman Drew had put this out as a potential high scoring affair. Watching the well drilled Highbury team warm up I couldn't help but think this stark warning was going to come true. We watched them run through drills and sink shot after shot with a sense of overwhelming unease. Our prospects looked dire and seemed to have been...

Match Report: Bromley 1 (13) - Supernova 4 (5), 13/01/2013
Bromley v Supernova 4
Boys:- Joe Carroll, Ben Kelly, Andy Cosstick, Ian RiddellGirls:- Cat Evans, Natalie Welsh, Eloise Aspinall
So, despite Chairman Drew's pleading we were unable to rustle up another girl and so had to play with a division of three. So we set out with Andy, Eloise and Ben starting in attack in a three and Cat, Ian, Natalie and I in defence.
The atmosphere was hot as we set out for the start, though that might just have been the sauna like conditions in the ground...

Supernova 2 (9) – Trojans 2 (30)
After Sunday’s extra training session, SN2 went into the game with some confidence having worked hard on a range of moves that we were to use during the match. For the first time we had the chance to train as divisions and then use what we learnt in practice. Trojans 2, currently top of the league turned up with a predictably strong team (just 5 England/Ex-England players) so we were up against it, the message however was to set ourselves up for future...
