Supernova Korfball - Central London's Korfball Club

After a couple of disappointing performances, the firsts bounced back this week with a good win against Nomads 3. The first half was a nervy affair that bore a striking resemblance to previous performances - with SN creating lots of chances but unable to pull out more than a two goal lead. After half time however the defence started to gel. Nomads were kept scoreless for a long period, whilst the Supernova score kept edging up and gradually we pulled away to a much more comfortable margin. The Nomads team was pretty mixed and arguably we should have won by more than we did; on the other hand, there were a lot of real positives to take away along with our 2 points. In attack, it was undoubtedly our best performance with the shot clock, Nomz is back and scoring, Martin has relocated his shooting boots and fluid attacking from Ped's division helped Robin notch up 6. Defensively it was solid across the board; there was an enormous number of interceptions, particularly from Jo, while Tom turned in the defensive performance of the season against Ian Borrows.
