Bec 3 (9) bt Supernova 1 (2)

Sunday saw the first team make their debut into the league against a strong Bec team.

The game started in worrying fashion with Bec passing the ball fluidly around to create an early couple of goals. The defense proved a real highlight thou through out the game, with Woody, Anna, Richard and Becky keeping the Bec attack at bay while we searched for our reply. Working on our previous planned tactics, feeds were getting in although we struggled to get the running in's or the shot's up. Despite some superb defending bec, managed a further three goals leaving the score at 5-0 at half time.

After the break, our attacking play began to flow better with more shot's going up, setting Bec a new challenge, eventually the pressure told and Mark superbly dispatched an over pass followed in double quick time with a great finish from Becky bringing the scores to 5-2! The comeback was on, and the ball was flying round at a rapid speed creating space and time for shots and running in's. We had our chances for a third but alas it wasn't to be. Bec made a couple of subs and this spured them on to a further four unanswered goals leaving the final score at 9-2.

Great effort from all involved.

Team
Becky (1), Nicola, Anna, Sophie, Woody, Dan (sub Rob after 30mins), Richard and Mark (1)
