Match Report: Supernova 2 (13) - Woking 1 (7), 04/03/2012

Depth.  It wins titles.  Supernova 1 showed it last year and, when it came to the crunch game, Supernova 2 proved it again this year.  It’s all very well having a great starting eight, but sometimes it is what is on the bench that matters.  And so it was on Sunday.  Two hours before the match a text comes through saying that Louise would be unavailable for the game.  A few quick texts and Sian is promoted for the game, with Alison fortunately available to take her SN3 place.  90...

Once we had got to know each other, things began to click and we got back into the game with Rich M banging in a couple. However, at half-time, we were still losing 9-4.

The second half was a bit frustrating. Although we won...

After a bright start to the season, the thirds have gone off the boil a bit with no victories in the last four games. So this was a much-needed win against the side that beat the thirds last week.

It didn’t start too brightly though as we soon fell 3-1 down. However, Richard T is the man for these occasions and he quickly banged in two goals to level the scores. After that, we began to roll.  Highbury were playing rebound defence to stop us collecting our shots and, although we had...
