Sunday 29th March, Millwall

Report by Harry Low

Every Supernova player scored as they brought their season to a close with a fine 13-5 win* over Nomads 4 at Millwall.

Femke got the ball rolling for the hosts, making it 1-0 with just over two minutes on the clock before your correspondent doubled the advantage.

Pippa Bolton’s long shot had Supernova three in front and, although Nomads scored to force a change of ends, some quick thinking saw Pippa Middleton restore the three goal advantage with a shot from under the post as soon as the whistle sounded.

Your correspondent scored a long shot for 5-1 and a Nomads goal on the stroke of half time reduced the arrears to three once again.

In the second half, Neil scored from range to bag a Babybel and, although Nomads scored their third goal, your correspondent was fouled for a penalty, generously donated to captain Ross who was bidding to displace SMackie as top scorer.

Nicola got amongst the Maltesers as she made it 8-3 before Matt Forster made it 9-3 with his final touch of the korfball.

Pippa Middleton got her hands on some Pinot Grigio as she extended the lead further still and Pete, fresh off the bench, scored either side of Nomads goals to make it 11-5.

Ross scored the goal that he needed to claim the 2014/15 golden korf for the second team and your correspondent completed a hatrick with a runner, rounding off an emphatic victory which sees the seconds finish in third place in London Regional League 2.
