The fourth team came into this game four points clear at the top of the LKA3. The division’s top scorer, Rich, had been called into the thirds, but the team was ready and raring to go!

Nomads had a mixture of experienced players and promising youngsters, indicating a tough encounter. Sure enough, Nomads got off to a quick start, jumping out to a 3-0 lead. However, Nova began to play with more structure and Georgia pulled a goal back. A battling defensive stand followed from Nova and when Becki scored to make it 3-2, we were right back in the game. Nova had a couple of narrow misses, but Nomads pushed on scoring the next two so we were 5-2 down as the half-time whistle went.

At the start of the second half, Cat T came on for Rose. The second half started with 3 goals to Nomads, making it 8-2 to the home side. But Novans do not give up easily! Georgia scored again for her second goal for the match and Captain Joe scored late on. Despite the whole team playing hard til the end, the final score 10-4 to Nomads.

Fourths are still four points clear at the top of the league. One to watch though, Croydon 4 have moved into second place and they have three games in hand. The fourths play Croydon 4 next week so this will be a big one!
