Every Supernova player scored as they registered a 23-16 win away at Mitcham 1 in Croydon.

The first half saw a succession of shots dropping from all ranges, including five for Anke and a hatrick for Sian.

Ingmar converted two penalties in his haul of four goals while Eiti scored a delightful long shot and captain Rob grabbed two goals of his own.

Morven became the final first teamer to bag a goal, scoring soon after the half time whistle and your correspondent completed his hatrick as Supernova extended the lead to 13, to lead 21-8.

The less said about the final 15 minutes the better, as the deficit was reduced to just 6 before a late goal from Jamie, his fourth fine long shot of the match, and the first team’s 80th goal this season.

The first team’s third win since the summer sees them climb back into the top half of the London Regional League 1, ahead of Highbury 1 in 5th and Nomads 2 in 6th. Mitcham remain rooted to the bottom of the table as their winless run continues.
